Las históricas presentaciones que brindó David Gilmour el 7 y 8 de julio de 2016 en el legendario anfi teatro romano llegan a la pantalla grande por única vez. En este film, el guitarrista de Pink Floyd rememora parte del concierto que brindó la banda allí mismo en 1972 en medio de la gira presentación de su disco solista “Rattle That Lock”. La función será el miércoles 13 de septiembre en los cines Showcase Belgrano, Norte, Haedo, Quilmes, Córdoba y Rosario y las entradas anticipadas ya están en venta en la página oficial.
Después la película de 1972 donde Pink Floyd interpreta 6 canciones en el antiguo anfiteatro romano de Pompeya, Italia (film dirigido por Adrian Maben) y sin público presente; David Gilmour vuelve con 2 conciertos espectaculares que forman parte de la gira promocional de su álbum “RattleThatLock”. Siendo la primera vez que se realiza un show de rock con público en el Anfiteatro Romano y contando con más de 2600 asistentes.
“David Gilmour Live at Pompeii” es un espectáculo audiovisual que incluye láser, pirotecnia y una pantalla circular gigante en la que films originales complementan a las canciones junto a la magnífica actuación de una banda estelar. El repertorio elegido incluye éxitos de toda la carrera de David, canciones de sus últimos álbumes: “Rattle That Lock” y “On An Island”, así como grandes clásicos de Pink Floyd como “Wish You Were Here” y “Comfortably Numb”, incluyendo “One Of These Days”, la única canción que repite escenario desde aquel el show de los setentas. En el concierto se puede disfrutar también de la interpretación especial de “The Great Gig In The Sky” del álbum “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, rara vez interpretada en directo por el violero en solitario.
La película incluye lo mejor de ambas noches, que fueron registradas en 4K por el director Gavin Elder y presentadas para la ocasión en Dolby Atmos.
